10.6 Exercise 54

Avg difficulty 2.5

Parameterize (write parametric equations for) each Cartesian equation by using x( t )=acost x \left(t\right) = a \cos t and y(t)=bsint. y \left(t\right) = b \sin t . Identify the curve.

Parameterize the line from (−1,0) \left(−1 , 0\right) to (3,−2) \left(3 , −2\right) so that the line is at (−1,0) \left(−1 , 0\right) at t=0, t = 0 , and at (3,−2) \left(3 , −2\right) at t=1. t = 1.
