We are interested in whether the proportions of conferred physical science degrees for people aged 21 to 24 are the same for White people and Black people in the United States. The number of conferred degrees for White people in a given year is 4,930. Five hundred eighty were aged 21 to 24. The estimate for Black people is 330. Forty were aged 21 to 24. We will let people with conferred physical science degrees be our population.
