Exercise 5.2.15

Avg difficulty 3.0

Suppose AA is an m×nm\times n-matrix and {w1,…,wk}\left\{\mathbf{w}_{1},\ldots,\mathbf{w}_{k}\right\} is a linearly independent set of vectors in Rm\mathbb{R}^{m}. Now suppose Azi=wiA\mathbf{z}_{i}=\mathbf{w}_{i}. Show {z1,…,zk}\left\{\mathbf{z}_{1},\ldots,\mathbf{z}_{k}\right\} is also linearly independent.
