Exercise 6.4.8

Avg difficulty 3.0

Let TT be a linear transformation and suppose T([1−4])=[2−3]T\left(\left[\begin{array}{r}1\\ -4\end{array}\right]\right)=\left[\begin{array}{r}2\\ -3\end{array}\right]. Suppose SS is the linear transformation with matrix B=[12−13]B=\left[\begin{array}{rr}1&2\\ -1&3\end{array}\right]. Find (S∘T)(v)(S\circ T)(\mathbf{v}) for v=[1−4]\mathbf{v}=\left[\begin{array}{r}1\\ -4\end{array}\right].
