Determine which of the following matrices are diagonalizable.

  1. AA is a 3×33\times 3-matrix with eigenvalues −1-1 and 33. The eigenvalue −1-1 has algebraic multiplicity 22 and geometric multiplicity 11. The eigenvalue 33 has algebraic and geometric multiplicity 11.

  2. BB is a 4×44\times 4-matrix with eigenvalues 22 and −2-2. The eigenvalue 22 has algebraic and geometric multiplicity 11. The eigenvalue −2-2 has algebraic and geometric multiplicity 33.

  3. CC is a 5×55\times 5-matrix with eigenvalues 11 and 33. The eigenvalue 11 has algebraic and geometric multiplicity 22, and the eigenvalue 33 has algebraic and geometric multiplicity 11.
