6.4 Exercise 31

Avg difficulty 2.5

Located at the origin, an electric car of mass m is at rest and in equilibrium. A time dependent force of F→(t)\overset{\rightarrow}{F} \left(t\right) is applied at time t=0t = 0, and its components are Fx(t)=p+ntF_{x} \left(t\right) = p + n t and Fy(t)=qtF_{y} \left(t\right) = q t where p, q, and n are constants. Find the position r→(t)\overset{\rightarrow}{r} \left(t\right) and velocity v→(t)\overset{\rightarrow}{v} \left(t\right) as functions of time t.
