11.6 Exercise 6

Avg difficulty 2.5

A charged particle moves through a velocity selector at constant velocity. In the selector, E = 1.0×104N/C1.0 \times 10^{4} \text{N}/\text{C} and B = 0.250 T. When the electric field is turned off, the charged particle travels in a circular path of radius 3.33 mm. Determine the charge-to-mass ratio of the particle.
