Exercise 23

Avg difficulty 3.0

Generalize to Rn\mathbb{R}^{n} the converse of the Pythagorean Theorem, that if u⃗\vec{u} and v⃗\vec{v} are perpendicular then ∣u⃗+v⃗ ∣2=∣u⃗ ∣2+∣v⃗ ∣2\lvert\vec{u}+\vec{v}\,\rvert^{2}=\lvert\vec{u}\,\rvert^{2}+\lvert\vec{v}\,\rvert^{2}.
