5.2 Exercise 94

Avg difficulty 2.5

Use the information about the graph of a polynomial function to determine the function. Assume the leading coefficient is 1 or –1. There may be more than one correct answer.

The y- y - intercept is (0,0). \left(0 , 0\right) . The x- x - intercepts are (0,0)\left(0 , 0\right), (2,0). \left(2 , 0\right) . Degree is 3.

End behavior: as x→−∞x \rightarrow - \infty, f(x)→−∞f \left(x\right) \rightarrow - \infty, as x→∞x \rightarrow \infty, f(x)→∞. f \left(x\right) \rightarrow \infty .
