5.2 Exercise 96

Avg difficulty 2.5

Use the information about the graph of a polynomial function to determine the function. Assume the leading coefficient is 1 or –1. There may be more than one correct answer.

The y- y - intercept is (0,1). \left(0 , 1\right) . There is no x- x - intercept. Degree is 4.

End behavior: as x→−∞x \rightarrow - \infty, f(x)→∞f \left(x\right) \rightarrow \infty, as x→∞x \rightarrow \infty, f(x)→∞. f \left(x\right) \rightarrow \infty .
